Monic Joint, Founder of Mummy Must Have is a family bonding advocate, and has spoken publicly in relation to the current state of maternity services within the U.K., traumatic birth, and interruptions in bonding due to colic or difficulties post-birth.  Monic and Mummy Must Have support the works of the Birth Trauma Association and the valuable support that they offer to U.K. families. Monic Joint aims to highlight the need for improvements within maternity services in the U.K., providing midwives with better environments and resources to work with, as well as adequately staffed and supported environments to birth within.

Monic Joint participated in the BBC Radio 5 Live topic of the country-wide state of maternity services. Asked to speak about her complicated first birth with subsequent interruption to post-birth bonding, Monic also participated in the discussion of how these services could be improved.

May 3rd, 2007 - GMTV morning program-“BBC Panorama piece into crisis within U.K. maternity wards”

Monic Joint appeared alongside a representative from the Royal College of Midwives ahead of the May 3rd BBC Panorama undercover investigation into maternity services within the U.K.

Monic spoke in 2 interviews of the need for more money to be input into U.K. maternity services, and highlighted the fact that women can birth more easily, more quickly, in less pain and with less intervention when they feel they are within a safe and supportive birth environment. Monic was interviewed by Kate Garroway and John Stapleton.
