When my first baby and I were getting used to breastfeeding in the early days, it was not as straightforward a process as I had previously thought it would be.  Getting used to breastfeeding for us took time, and my baby would fuss, cry and squirm, and for these reasons I did not feel comfortable when breastfeeding in public.  When my second baby came along, I found this breastfeeding poncho enabled me to relax enough to feed my baby easily when out and about, and did not worry as much about getting my new baby to latch on quickly.  We were both able to take our time and carry on with breastfeeding normally wherever we were, which helped me to breastfeed my child longer.
